David Murphy

David Murphy currently lives and works in London, having completed a residency at the Yorkshire Sculpture Park (2014) and the Kenneth Armitage Foundation Fellowship (2015-17).

Murphy has worked on large-scale National commissions and approaches his work with an instinctive sensitivity towards the innate textures and qualities of the materials at hand. In doing so, he creates visions of indistinguishable, yet familiar, living or moving forms.
